There are so many sites with valuable information, networks and opportunities to share ideas. The Fifth Element is a programme run by the Club of Rome that seeks ‘to ask better questions for the future of humanity’ . They aim to provide a platform ‘to support people and organisations to connect, reflect and act together toward systemic change’.
The Club of Rome published the hugely influential report of The Limits to Growth way back in 1972, and is still producing stimulating material. The discussion papers are particularly fruitful. A paper that came out this week will be returned to in a future post as it returns to central themes found in Serres’ philosophy decades ago and , at the same time updates some recent scientific discoveries, especially in cosmology. It can be downloaded here: The unitive science of a living universe.
